GrGr is Baptiste Cousin’s direct-press Grolleau Gris. In 2020, the wine spent six months in old Cognac barrels.
It is stripped back: lemon pith, wet stone, a little salt, and no sweetness to soften the edges. The acidity arrives immediately and keeps the wine moving.
There is not much evolution in the glass, but that is not really the point. It is direct, precise, and very easy to drink. We finished it quickly.
