This blend of Viognier and Roussanne comes from young vines in the Ardèche. The grapes are directly pressed and the wine is aged on its fine lees.
The nose was immediately floral, with ripe peach and a little citrus. On the palate it was broad and rounded, with a coating texture that stopped short of feeling heavy.
The acidity was moderate, but enough to keep the wine fresh and balanced. It was not especially energetic or complex; its appeal came from the generous fruit, soft texture, and how easily everything fitted together.
